White Rock Ranch Horse Rescue was established as an IRS tax-exempt 501(c)(3) charity in January 2008. The White Rock Ranch Horse Rescue and Retirement, Inc. is incorporated in the state of California.

 2013 Grants
  • ASPCA has granted a $4,000.00 grant toward the repair and maintenance of a new fence for the safety of the horses.  White Rock Horse Rescue is proud to accept this grant and will be starting the fence in September 2013.
  • Officers' Spouses' Club has awarded White Rock Horse Rescue $300.00 toward the care of the horses for 2013.  This is our 3rd year and we are pleased and grateful for the grant.  The Military Families that come to WRR are also appreciated.
  • The Global Federation of Animal Sanctuaries (GFAS)has completed the Verification of White Rock Horse Rescue.  During 2012 GFAS has visited the Ranch, requested required document, made suggestion, and gave positive feedback.  The Verification process by GFAS ensures everyone in the Rescue world is on the same page.....and we have completed the first steps toward Accredidation. With the $2000.00 grant WRR has purchased Liability Insurance and purchased a 12x24 free standing shelter for the horses.  Thank you GFAS. Insurance and the shelter has been made and putting it up is next.
  • Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence donated $1,008 for emergency hay.

The Rescue was establish from a passion that is shared by millions of individuals of all ages and love horses which is an important role in society, and travels through the competitive world which brings us to the unwanted horse.  By bringing together individuals and organizations that focuses on horse-related issues, providing financial, volunteer support as well as leadership, care and fiscal practices of Rescues, Grants are appreciated and vital to our survival. White Rock Ranch Horse Rescue and Retirement, Inc. is embracing the ability to accomplish our mission and building a more secure environment for horses and for the people whose lives they embrace. And so we thank all our donators and supporters.

2012 Grants
  • CARMA:  Donated $5000.00 to White Rock Horse Rescue for hay for our 10 Thoroughbreds for 2012.  Thank you so very much.
  • TCA has generously given WRR a donation for 2012.  We thank them and so do the Thoroughbreds.

  • Blue Horse Charities donated this year 2012 to WRR feeding of the 

  • White Rock Horse Rescue received a donation from the 2011 Orchard Festival on April 4, 2012.  We appreciate the donation and it will be used to buy hay for the horses.  WRR would like to thank the Rotary Club for this donation.
  • Frances Hollabaugh/Rev. Living Trust DTD 2/11/1993 donated $2000.00 to White Rock Horse Rescue for feed:  When a person believes in what their passion is, it is contagious.  And with that said, thank you Kim Boutwell for sharing our mission with Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and them trusting in White Rock Horse Rescue. Thank you very much and please know this is very much appreciated.

2011 Grants
  • Glide Foundation: White Rock Ranch Horse Rescue and retirment, Inc. is very grateful for the 2011 Grant of $4000.00 from the Thornton S. Glide Jr. and Katrina D. Glide Foundation Trust. The best and most rewarding part of this Grant is the letter of authorization of this Grant with appreciation and acknowledgement of our Rescue for what we do. And I quote “We are confident your programs and services are providing an important contribution to the community and help further the goals and purposes of the Foundation.”  What more can I ask. Below are picture to acknowledge the grant and it is being used to help the horses in need of medical care and food. Thank you again.

  • CARMA: White Rock Ranch Horse Rescue and Retirement, Inc. would like to thank CARMA (California Retirement Management Association) for their 2011 Grant of $5000.00 to provide feed for our Off-Raced Thoroughbred.  Thank you again.

  • Home Depot: White Rock Horse Rescue would like to thank the Home Depot Foundation for their Grant of $1,000.00 to purchase a play area for our active and retired military families that visit White Rock.

  • Build-A-Bear: White Rock Horse Rescue would like to thank Build-A-Bear Workshop Bear Hugs Foundation, Bearemy’s Kennel Pals® grant program, for their Grant of $2,500.00 for Equine Preventive Health Services.

  • TCA: White Rock Horse Rescue would like to thank Thoroughbred Charities of America (TCA) for the grant given to WRHR in the amount of $4000 to purchase hay for the Thoroughbred's at WRHR.

  • ASPCA: White Rock Horse Rescue would like to thank the ASPCA for their grant in the amount of $3500 for the Emergency Care Isolation Barn at the new Care Center.

  • Ark Antiques: White Rock Horse Rescue would like to thank Ark Antiques for the grant of $4,735.00 for medical expenses for our horses.
  • Equus: White Rock Horse Rescue would like to thank Equus Foundation for their grant of $3,000.00 for the purchase of materials for our new enclosed riding arena that is currently being developed. 1/5/2012 the wood has arrived at WRR for the arena. A crew is needed to prepare for the post and rails.  Please come out and volunteer.
